Reza Ghazali
Reza currently holds a position as Head of ASEAN & Head of Board Services ASEAN at Pedersen & Partners. In Feb 2017, he was appointed as an Independent Non-Executive Director of Shangri-La Hotels Malaysia Bhd.
Prior to joining Pedersen & Partners he was Office Managing Director for another global & leading international Executive Search firm, KornFerry International (Malaysia). He joined KornFerry in 1995 as Senior Associate and promoted to Principal and Senior Client Partner before taking up the MD role in 2005. He served KornFerry for a total of 23 years conducting board & c-suite search, board assessment & placements, and talent & leadership advisory assignments for large local companies/GLCs and foreign owned companies.
In the early years of his career, Reza worked in the hospitality sector before making the switch to join the Corporate sector in the fields of Public Relations and Human Resources in Multi Purpose Holdings Group, a diversified conglomerate. He later joined Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) for several years as Senior Consultant in the Change Management and Strategic Services Practices. There, he was exposed to strategic change management, business process re engineering/transformation, project management, business & technology consulting, organisation re-structuring and culture redevelopment.
Reza’s notable experiences over the span of 30 years in the field of Human Capital has raised his credibility in providing human resource and talent advisory at a strategic level to Multinational Corporations, Malaysian conglomerates and GLCs across all industries. His dealings with Corporate at Board and Senior Management Level has allowed him to understand complex business, industry, market and functional issues to build confidence and trust to assist organisations in transformational, growth or at steady state stages.
